About

Hannah Dighton, PMHNP

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and perinatal mental health. I work collaboratively with individuals age 18 and older, incorporating input from families and other mental health and medical providers. My goal is to help you customize a plan that enables you to find lasting change. This plan may involve medication, therapy, or a combination of both. My style is grounded in the theory of self-determination. I practice from a trauma-informed approach. My pronouns are she/her. I am nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed to practice as a PMHNP in Washington, DC and Maryland. This licensure includes prescriptive authority. I enjoy live music and spending as much time outdoors as possible through hiking, camping, running, and cycling. Education: Yale University School of Nursing Master's of Science in Nursing Vanderbilt University Bachelor's of Science in Public Health and Psychology *At this time, I am not contracted with any insurance company. This means that I am an "out-of-network" provider, and I do not bill any insurance company or third party payer directly. If you plan to use your insurance benefits, you will be provided with a standard invoice that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many insurance companies provide substantial reimbursement of mental health services by an out-of-network provider.
